ONE YEAR!!

Brandon & I are celebrating our one year anniversary tomorrow! We were married one year ago in the St. George Temple and we're very happy to report that we still love each other!! Our first year of marriage was AWESOME! I couldn't ask for a more fantastic husband. He's so fun and makes life a party. He always keeps me positive and moving forward! I love you! Here is a recap of year together...

JULY

 We got married (and we STILL don't have our wedding pics back so this is the best I can do for now)

 We went to Hawaii W/ the Valantines for the Dental Convention

September

 Went to BYU games with my family

Painted Pumpkins and went trick or treating with my brothers

we got our puppy Charley when we came home for thanksgiving

went to the Cabin for new years and spent Christmas with the families :)

January

Celebrated my birthday/ 6 months (I hate this pic)

Celebrated Brandon's Birthday / Valantines Day and went to Vegas

Went to Arizona for spring break

finished up our "Junior Year"

Brandon studied/ took the MCAT so I took off to visit my sister :)

hit up the lake a few times

Went to Alaska & Canada and celebrated our 1st year together!

YUKON HO!

We went to Alaska this last week! It was really different because I'd never been on a cold cruise before and we weren't really sure what to expect? You will NEVER believe this but when Brandon and I pulled up to my parents house the night before our flight and we started getting our stuff out of the car I realized I left the ONE THING I was most excited about... my camera... thats right people! I left my Nikon with my new lens that I pretty much bought for this trip! I left it! It just didn't make it to the car somehow?

I was TICKED! It was still a blast though! Here are some highlights :)

First stop Pikes Market in Seattle! {we both look terrible in that pic but we woke up at 5 to catch our flight give us a break}

Day one was a boat day and we had Formal night on the ship! I always love formal night!

Day 2 we went and saw a HUGE hanging Glacier

After the Glacier we went whale watching!! SO FUN! We saw lots of hump backs!

In Juneau {day 3} we went and did the Zipline! It was crazy scary but SO FUN! You go through the rain forest over 130 foot deep canyons and stuff! SO COOL!

Day 4 we did a bike tour! We went all through the rain forests and around lakes and rivers.

Day 5 we took the whole day to go through a Fjord! We saw all these glaciers and seals and AMAZING waterfalls! The mountains are huge and all carved by the glaciers

Day 7 we landed in Canada! We were allowed off the ship at 7 p.m and had to be back by 10pm so we didn't have much to do. This is the Parliament building! It looked like Europe! We walked around the waterfront for a while and got some ice cream.

In other news my Mac died on sunday :( I had him for 3 years and I think I just pushed him too hard. Along with Mac both of my hard drives have died too so my Studio is at a stand still for a while.

speaking of dying, I died my hair back to brown! Blond was fun and I REALLY liked it but I just feel more like me with my brown hair back {don't tell my mom I died it though she doesn't know yet lol} I would like to put an end to this NEVER ENDING battle with me and my mom. She is CERTAIN that I'm a blond and I'm CERTAIN she's crazy. So I  put one of those poll things on my blog, it's on the top right hand side!

Lake Powell & Four Wheeling

We FINALLY got to Lake Powell this summer and It was GLORIOUS!

It was fun to ACTUALLY have brandon go somewhere with me and not have school! We went with his family and his cousins family! it was a blast!

Me and my 2 newest sisters! I love them dearly! We could only stay for 2 days and then had to get home to a family reunion but it was okay because i was already burnt to a crisp :)

next is the 4-Wheelin Trip! It was my family (minus Brandon and Mom as usual!) and Joes dad and brothers!

We ran into a bit of a problem :( Jared and Joe rolled the 4-Wheeler they were on over the top of them! Luckily Joe is strong and jared was wearing a helmet or else we wouldn't have come off as lucky as we did. Jared sprained his wrist and joe got pretty cut up and bruised, the bike came off with only minor damages and we were all a little shaken so we headed home a night early.

Wheres Waldo?

Can anyone find Charley in the living room? 

Hint: she used to hide here when she was little and can't really fit there anymore....

Answer:

She hides under here if we say "no!" or "CHAAAARLEY!!!" or when we open the door and she can tell she's not going with us, When we walk passed something that she did wrong even if we didn't notice it (example: chewed up trash under the table) she totally gives herself away. she is so stinkin funny with her bum stickin out the back of the chair ha ha ha

(p.s Brandons brother Cary slept at our house that night, that's why the air mattress is out, not because I made Brandon sleep out there or something lol)

The Newly Weds!

Brandons brother Cary got engaged last week!! He's marrying my good friend Kaili and i'm really thrilled about having a sister in law in the family! We're all really excited for them! They are getting married on August 10th in the MT. Timpanogos Temple and they've asked me to shoot their wedding {except family pics of course}.  So here are some of their engagements to enjoy! There will be more on my photography blog later.

FINALLY summer!

I FINALLY feel like its summer! When summer rolls around I usually move back to the parents house.

 I usually can't find a job for only 3 months so i'm jobless the whole time. All of my best friends move back from college as well and usually find them in the job search problem as well so this usually means 3 months of nothing but sleeping in and playing with friends till all hours of the night! Drive in movies, longboarding, hiking, rafting, camping, river hiking, waterfall climbing THE WORKS!! I've been missing it TERRIBLY lately because this summer is NOTHING like the past ones. First off I have a job.. WHO gets summer jobs?!! Second all my friends went off (with their new wives) and did summer sales! Third i'm taking summer school!? WHY did i do that!? This summer has been bringing me down because it's nothing like i'm used to, luckily my boss just changed my hours and now I don't work at all at the beging of the week and a TON at the end of the week! So now my days are much better! My best friend right now is a 12 year old Girl who lives in my apartment complex! She loves my dog and NEVER runs out of energy! She always comes over and asks if I can "play". So the last 2 days have gone like this. I sleep in,  then hit the gym, 3-4 miles on the eliptical, 30 minute abs then I go home. By then chelsey is already waiting on my porch and we have a longboarding lesson, then we hit the pool, then we want snowcones so Chelsey, Charley and I jump on the 3 mile long bike trail that goes right from our apartments straight to the snow cone shack in the middle of town. 

After we finish our snow cones we go back down the trail which runs along a river so we usually stop and play in the river for a while.

When we come home we usually hit up the pool again and get all the mud off Charley. Then I go home and watch Prison Break till brandon comes home :)

It's been a REALLY nice {normal summer} couple of days! All the exercise and sun i've been getting isn't too bad either! :)

p.s since this is kinda my journal too i'd like to document all the telivision series Brandon & I have watched since we got married (July 18th 2009)

OH P.P.S! The moon was AMAZING the other night! I wanted to take a long exposure but was too lazy to pull my tripod out so I just relied on my steady hands {not} and this is the pic i got
